Too Hot To Handle (airdate November 11th, 1947) was an episode of The Green Hornet radio program. It was the final chapter of a three-part storyline involving the identity of The Green Hornet being revealed (beginning in the episode Exposed). This episode is notable for being the first mention (and only radio mention) of The Lone Ranger's relationship to The Green Hornet.

Plot Synopsis[]

After talking with Linda Travis, Britt Reid agrees to meet with his father and tell him about his dual identity as The Green Hornet.

  • As mentioned above, this episode marks the first time that the connection between The Lone Ranger and The Green Hornet series was alluded to. While Dan Reid Jr. is talking to Britt about his "pioneer ancestor", The William Tell Overture (the song used as The Lone Ranger's theme) can be heard.
  • This episode also marks the first appearance of Police Commissioner James Higgins.
